The Spinders
Okay, we know Spinder is kind of a goofy name, but think Spine and Binder and then stick them together and you’ll get Spinder (or at least we did.)
The Spinders are the coolest feature to this whole system. They’re the component that allows you to take just what you need when you go to a crop or class. They’re the piece that keeps you from getting frustrated when it’s time to put the things away that you took to the crop or class. They’re the element that unifies Scrapbooking Storage and mass market storage.

The Spinders adhere to the Base Unit using Velcro, The TravelPack has a Velcro space in it where the Spinder(s) fits. To go to a crop or class simply remove the Spinder you want to work with from the Base Unit and stick it to the Velcro section in the TravelPack. When you come home, putting your supplies away is equally simple, take them out of the TravelPack and return to the correct place on the base unit. Voila!!!

The standard 3 hole punch system allows you to integrate a variety of other products right into your ScrapRack System. If you are currently using other Scrapbooking brands, as long as they are a standard 3 hole punch, and most of them are, you can just transfer them right onto your ScrapRack.

The Technical Stuff
Our Spinders are a standard dimension 3 hole punch device with the addition of a steel bar which has been coated with commercial grade Velcro (both adhesive and rivets are used to secure the Velcro). This super strong Velcro is the reason the Spinders stay firmly in place on the Base Unit. They are designed with double locking tabs to insure that your pages don’t slip out from between the rings.

Each Spinder will hold 20-30 Storage Pages depending on how fully loaded you have your pages. Each base unit can hold up to 7 Spinders.

Tips for Spinder Use:
  • Store heavier items in the pockets closest to the Spinder.
  • When REMOVING your Spinders from the Base Unit, use a blunt edged instrument like a bone folder, insert the bone folder between the Velcro on the Base Unit and the Velcro on the Spinder and gently slide the bone folder down the length of the Spinder. The Spinder will come away easily.
  • If you don’t have blunt edged instrument try rolling the Spinder sideways (lengthwise) to release the Velcro. Please DON’T pull the Spinder by the ring sections or yank it straight off the base.
  • Take the Spinder OFF the base unit to load storage pages onto the rings.
  • Before replacing your Spinders on the Base Unit be sure you have pushed the locking tabs at both ends up towards the rings and in to the LOCKED position.
  • We recommend no more than 7 Spinders per Base Unit. Space your Spinders evenly, and be sure to leave at least ½ and inch of space between the Spinder and the left and right edges of the Velcro on the base unit.
How is it sold?
While most of the base units come with Spinders included, you can also purchase additional Spinders separately. Remember that each base unit will accommodate 7 Spinders.
