Stage Your Pages

Staging your pages is a simple and effective way to accomplish more pages in less scrapping time. Staging simply means that you collect everything you need to complete a scrapbook page in one or more storage pages. When you are ready to scrap you only need to flip to the staged pages and start working.

How To Stage Pages - Step by Step

  1. Sort your pictures into quick sort categories, Bad, Just Okay, and Scrapbook Perfect. (Take our class for more information on Quick Sort Categories.)
  2. Using your Scrapbook Perfect pictures separate them into pictures you will use on a page - usually 2 to 6 pictures.
  3. Choose 1 or 2 sheets of cardstock for background.
  4. Choose 1 or more sheets of paper for matting and accents.
  5. Choose die cuts, stickers, etc, that will compliment your pictures. (Usually the minute you see your pictures you know what will compliment them and “help” tell the story.)
  6. Select other embellishments. Fiber, nail heads, brads, whatever. Place small items such as beads and grommets in small zip lock bags.
  7. After gathering your supplies place everything into storage page(s). You might use Super Sized Singles for everything or you might use a Super Sized Single for paper, a Perfect Six for photos and a Double X-Long or Dream Dozen for embellishments.
  8. Add journaling - if you do it on the computer right now you’ll have it ready, but if not at least add notes to your photos - who, what, when, where.
  9. Write a note to yourself if you need to buy something to complete the page. Check your 4 Section System. You may already have what you need!
  10. Place memorabilia in with your staged supplies or in a manila envelope. (3-hole punch the manila envelope or use a self adhesive spine to create a spinder friendly storage envelope.)
  11. Use a spinder on your ScrapRack to store these staged pages and matching memorabilia. When you are ready to go to a crop, or on vacation, or to a friends house, just grab your spinder with the staged pages. Place it in your TravelPack. Add adhesive, pens, scissors and paper cutter and you are ready in just a minute.
  12. And we guarantee you’ll get more done and have more fun.
